In Sanskrit, the word “chakra” means “disk” or “wheel” and refers to the energy centers in your body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs. To function at your best, your chakras need to stay open, or balanced. If they get blocked, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
There are seven main chakras that run along your spine. They start at the root, or base, of your spine and extend to the crown of your head. At the top of each page is the name of the chakra and a brief description of its energy and properties.
The affirmations are written to help you focus on the energy of each chakra. Choose the pages that you feel will be most beneficial to you before a meditation, journaling session, or as a way to just calm the storm of your thoughts.
Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.
Use these pages to learn more about each chakra, affirm your positive intentions, and work on your handwriting (if you choose to do so).
Print the worksheets to practice your handwriting with traditional pens and papers. Or upload the file to Acrobat Reader and practice with your tablet and pencil.
