What is The Solar Plexus?
The solar plexus chakra is the energy center located in your abdomen and governs your sense of assertiveness, individuality, and personal power. When this chakra is blocked or unbalanced, you may not feel like you have much control over the direction that your life is headed. You may be motivated by fear instead of love and find it difficult to stand up for yourself.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it is likely that this center in your body needs some healing attention. Because the solar plexus chakra is directly associated with your sense of personal power, it can also be related to issues of self-esteem and confidence. This makes solar plexus affirmations an important tool for balancing this energy center.
How Manipura Chakras Get Blocked
Solar plexus chakras can get blocked when we feel powerless, helpless, or ashamed. If you have a low sense of self-worth, you may find it difficult to tap into your personal power. When this chakra is out of balance, you may feel chronically anxious or stressed and be unable to relax or enjoy life. You may also find it difficult to be yourself around others and feel like you have to put on a persona in order to fit in.
When this chakra is blocked, many things can happen. You may have a difficult time with setting boundaries for yourself or others. You might feel resentful if others are being controlling or manipulative toward you, but you don’t feel like you can speak up against them because of their position in your life (such as a supervisor at work).
You may also experience physical symptoms of this chakra blockage, such as digestive issues like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, or food allergies. These are all signs that something needs to be cleared out on an emotional level before your body can begin the process of healing itself.
What Chakras Do
Your chakras are your energy centers. Each one of them is responsible for different parts of your life, from your sense of security and safety to your personal power. When all of these centers are balanced, you feel great about yourself! However, that balance can become disrupted if you experience trauma or put too much pressure onto yourself at any particular time.
When one of your chakras is blocked, it can affect other parts of your life. For instance, when you are feeling powerless or unworthy in some areas of your life, it may be difficult for you to take action in the areas where you do have control. This can cause a ripple effect throughout all of your energy centers, including your solar plexus chakra.
There are seven main chakras in the human body, and each one of them is responsible for different aspects of your life.
The root chakra (Muladhara) – the first chakra is located at the base of your spine and is responsible for your sense of security and safety.
The sacral chakra (Swadhisthana) – the second chakra is located in your lower abdomen and is responsible for your sense of creativity, sexuality, and joy.
The solar plexus (Manipura) – the third center of energy is located in your abdomen and governs our sense of personal power. It also helps us to have the courage to take risks.
The heart chakra (Anahata) – the fourth energy center is located in your chest and is mainly responsible for your love relationships, but also governs our own self-love.
The throat chakra (Vishuddha) – the fifth center of energy can be found where your neck and shoulders meet. It governs our creative expression, such as how we communicate with the world around us.
The third eye (Ajna) – the sixth chakra is located in your forehead and is often associated with intuition and insight into others and ourselves.
The crown chakra (Sahasrara) – the seventh chakra is located at the top of your head and is responsible for our connection to the divine.
Unblocking Your Manipura Chakras
The best way to unblock your Manipura chakra is through meditation. One of the main causes for this energy center becoming blocked in the first place is because we feel powerless or unworthy, which can stem from a traumatic experience long ago that was never properly resolved. Meditation allows us to tap into our subconscious mind where these traumas are stored and release them.
The key to meditating properly is to listen to your intuition. You should feel uplifted, refreshed, and full of life after you finish. If you don’t feel this way at all, or experience feelings of lethargy or depression after your session, it means that the energy in one (or more) of your other chakras is low. You need to focus on healing those areas before you can successfully unblock your solar plexus.
We also recommend incorporating yoga poses into your meditation routine, as they are effective at releasing blocked emotions scattered throughout the muscles and joints. Yoga will help you to feel more connected with your body, which is important for being able to effectively heal your blocked chakras.
Affirmations for solar plexus chakras are another way of working on unblocking your Manipura chakra. Anytime you feel powerless or unworthy, or anytime you are dealing with an issue that stems from low self-esteem, repeat your chosen affirmation out loud.
How Do You Heal Your 3rd Chakra?
Make sure to eat foods that support health in the solar plexus region. Things like beets and leafy greens (spinach and kale) are great for this chakra because they help to purify your body. Doing things like colon cleanses and liver flushes is another way of detoxifying your body, which can help balance out your Manipura chakra.
For many people, the answer to improving their self-esteem starts with their diet. By having a healthy intake of foods that support health in this area of your body, you can build up your feelings of confidence and positivity over time. Remember: most diets focus on losing weight and getting skinnier – we want to work on feeling better, which is why we focus on eating healthy foods.
It’s also important to try and let go of the past. Many times our own self-worth is determined by what others think of us – even if it’s something that happened when you were a child! Developing the ability to forgive yourself for mistakes in your past and just letting go will help you to feel empowered.
And finally, there is always romance! It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about a significant other or just a close friend – having people in your life who truly care about you can make all the difference when it comes to how you feel about yourself. By surrounding ourselves with positive people, it’s easier to be positive and feel confident.
How to bring the Solar Plexus Chakra into balance
The best way to bring your Manipura chakra into balance is through meditation, as it allows us to tap into our subconscious mind where we store traumas which can negatively affect the energy in this area of the body. Affirmations are another good option, as they target the conscious mind and can help you to break bad habits.
The key to meditating properly is listening to your intuition. If you feel lethargic or depressed after completing your session, it means that some other chakra likely needs healing before you work on unblocking your solar plexus.
Yoga poses, like the Sun Salutation and Surya Namaskar, are another way of bringing this chakra into balance. Yoga is a great stress reliever that can help you to feel more connected with your body – which makes it easier to heal your blocked chakras.
Finally, make sure to work on letting go of the past. It can be very hard to forget about something that happened when you were a child, but it is the only way to bring your third chakra into balance. Forgiving yourself for mistakes in the past and just letting go will help you to feel empowered, which will make it easier for this chakra to open up properly.

USING AFFIRMATIONS TO HEAL YOUR Solar Plexus CHAKRA
Affirmations are positive statements (either written down or said aloud) that can be used to influence your subconscious mind and help heal any imbalances in the chakras. Repeat your favorite third chakra affirmations as often as possible throughout the day to restore balance and increase your self-confidence.
Repeat your chosen affirmation out loud for five minutes. Breathe deeply and imagine that the positive energy from the statement is flowing into all parts of your body.
Make Your Manipura Affirmations More Powerful
A solar plexus chakra healing affirmation is a great way to bring balance and positivity back to your life. But, there are ways you can make them even more powerful so that they really heal the third energy center.
First off, you should repeat each affirmation multiple times throughout the day – not just once or twice on a coffee break! Repetition is key when it comes to affirmations, so keep them with you throughout your day.
When you repeat the affirmation, really focus on what it means to you personally. Is there a change in attitude or behavior that would be appropriate for you to have? For example, if one of your solar plexus chakra affirmations is, “I am strong and confident,” do you currently lack confidence in your abilities or feel weak?
Repeat that affirmation throughout the day until you notice a change. If nothing changes, try another affirmation that resonates more with what it is exactly that you’re trying to heal within yourself. Eventually, something will strike a chord and the positive energy from that affirmation will be able to help heal your third chakra.
Where is the Solar Plexus?
Your solar plexus is directly over your stomach in the middle of the body. It’s located just below your rib cage and above your navel a little ways back from it.
You can use a wall to help you find the solar plexus. Stand with your back against a flat surface and have someone place one hand on your belly button and the other directly over your stomach just below your rib cage. Then, if they press slightly downward, they should be located right on top of your solar plexus.
